A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall on a Wee Scottish Golf Course
Golfers in Scotland are quite comfortable with the sight of celebrities on the next fairway, it seems many famous enthusiasts from all over the world are keen to play our much loved courses.
There may be a new member soon at a wee Highland course, Abernethy, at Nethybridge, near Aviemore. A local mansion, Aultmore, has been bought for a reputed £2.2 million pounds by two American brothers, Robert and David Zimmerman. Robert is of course better known as musician Bob Dylan, a keen golfer, playing off seventeen.
Aultmore lies in twenty-five acres of secluded wooded grounds in the shadow of the Cairngorm mountains. The house was used in two episodes of the popular BBC Television series Monarch of the Glen.
Bob will have to pay an annual membership fee of £105 if he is accepted as a member of the local club, but he will need to go round twice if he wants to get his money's worth, it is only a nine hole course.
